CSC 1st Generation E-Bike Battery Input Replacement
Tools:
- Phillips Screwdriver Lighter
- Solder/Soldering Gun Heat Shrink Tubing
- Angle Cutters
Use Phillips Screwdriver to remove (4) screws from end cap.
There are (4) wires attached to the existing end cap. All (4) of these will be cut and soldered to the new end cap. The large red wire will be soldered to the (2) large red wires of the new end cap.
The large black wire will be soldered to the (2) large black wires of the new end cap.
The small red wire will be soldered to the small red wire of the new end cap.
The small black wire will be soldered to the small black wire of the new end cap.
The (2) large red wires of new end cap.
The (2) large black wires of the new end cap.
The small red wire of the new end cap.
The small black wire of the new end cap.
Cut off the red plug from the small red and small black wires of the new end cap.
Small red and small black wires of new end cap.
Cut all of the wires from the old end cap and strip the tips of each of them.
The old end cap is completely removed from the battery.
Solder the large red wire to the (2) large red wires of the new end cap.
Cover the solder joint with heat shrink tubing.
Solder the small red wire of the battery to the small red wire of the new end cap and cover in heat shrink.
Repeat the process for the large black wire of the battery to the (2) large black wires of the new end cap.
Repeat the process for the small black wire of the battery to the small black wire of the new end cap.
If the fuse needs replacing it can be removed by stripping back the cover and heating the soldered ends until the fuse is free from the wires. The new fuse can then be soldered to the wires.
Complete installation of new end cap by securely fastening the (4) Phillips head screws.
