Step 1: Remove the Grab Rails
- Use a 12 mm socket to remove the grab rails.
- Next, remove the fasteners from the top using a 5 mm and an 8 mm socket.
Step 2: Access the Front Panel
- Remove the front panel to gain access to the inner components.
- Use a 5 mm Allen wrench to remove the fasteners (there are four of them).
Step 3: Focus on Inside Fasteners
- Pay attention to the inside fasteners.
- Use the 5 mm Allen wrench to remove them.
Step 4: Remove Additional Fasteners
- Remove two more fasteners using an 8 mm socket.
- Note the metal bracket—the teeth face forward and point downwards.
Step 5: Remove the Side Panels
- Gently pry out the little front piece.
- Continue using the 5 mm Allen wrench to remove the side panel fasteners.
- Repeat the process for both sides.
Step 6: Remove Passenger Pegs and Lid
- Use a 6 mm Allen wrench to remove the passenger pegs on each side.
- Remove the lid from the battery storage compartment.
Step 7: Unplug the Taillight
- Carefully unplug the taillight.
- Remove two additional bolts to take off the final piece of plastic.
